The Rotary Centennial Gardens, located in Bracebridge at the corner of Taylor Road and Pine Street, is a community garden available free to the  public.  Wheelchair accessible pathways link the individual gardens and the many features.  The site provides a variety of physical and sensory elements, both educational and meditative, including an entrance pavilion, woodlands, benches, statuary, an event/entertainment pavilion, perennial and annual beds, water features, arbors and pathways. The garden is open for spring, summer and fall visits.

Getting Involved

The Rotary Centennial Gardens is a special place that offers a restful refuge and a variety of physical and sensory elements. You have the opportunity of giving your support.

Support for the Gardens can take many forms.  You may simply come and enjoy the paths and benches in a setting that includes towering pine trees.  You may want to become a Supporter and help with the Spring and/or the Fall clean-up.  You may want to sponsor an individual garden bed.  This requires a commitment to plant and maintain a small part of the Gardens.  Some rules and recognition apply to sponsors.  We currently have about twenty sponsors and we are actively looking for more.

The reasons for supporting the Gardens are many and compelling:

1.     The Gardens is a rewarding community resource

2.     You will feel good about your time spent in the Gardens

3.     Any effort you give will be enjoyed by the full community

4.     As a sponsor you may choose your time to garden

5.     You may have moved to a condo and have left a garden behind

6.     Your organization might want a team-building activity

7.     Your family might work together on a community project

8.     Students gain community service credits for their hours given

In summary, you will feel good visiting the Gardens and you will feel even better becoming involved as a Supporter or Sponsor of this remarkable community resource.

Please go to the Gardens and enjoy your time there. Contact Bob Jacob, Rotarian at 705-646-0129 for more information about how you can become an active supporter of the Gardens.

“May these gardens lift the spirits of all who enter.”
